| Zhejiang Tourist Bureau is the department directly under
Zhejiang Provincial Government, which is located in No. 1 Shihan Road, Hangzhou
City. Its major function is as follows:
1. Promote and carry out the guideline and policy of tourism development
issued by the Central Government and Zhejiang Provincial Government; be entrusted
to study and draft out the local regulations and rules about tourism administration
(industry), and carry out the regulations and rules after the bill past. Study and
lay out the medium and long term plan, developing strategy, industrial policy and
year working aim for the development of Zhejiang tourism industry, and carry out
and inspect as well.
2. Instruct the reform of all kinds of tourist enterprises, actively
cultivate and develop tourism market, and improve tourism management system; be
responsible for the macro control for Zhejiang tourism, formulate industrial management
criterion and assess hotel, and examine and approve national and international tourist
agency.
